Visit Celestron NexStar 8SE is one of the most emblematic telescopes in amateur astronomy. Its concept 8-inch Schmidt-Cassegrain revolutionized the market in the 1970s thanks to a rare balance: a lot of openness, an instrument compact and use simple.
This “SE” version takes up the iconic design orange tube by adding modern functions (GoTo, database, rapid alignment) to offer a premium experience for beginners and experienced observers alike.
Thanks to its collecting power 843× that of the eye and fine resolution (Dawes 0,57″), the NexStar 8SE is visually formidable:
The frame alt-azimutale GoTo automatically locates and tracks objects. You choose a target, the telescope moves to it, then keeps it centered. The result: more comfortable observation, especially at high magnification.
NexStar 8SE uses SkyAlign just center three shiny objects (stars or planets) and then confirm. Even without any knowledge of the sky, alignment takes just a few minutes.
Yes: the NexStar 8SE is compatible with StarSense® technology (e.g. StarSense AutoAlign). With the addition of this accessory, alignment can be carried out automatically, This further simplifies first outings and speeds up start-up.
