Astronomer by night, astronomer by day! Observe Earth's nearest star during the day with the Vespera solar filter. The filter allows you to observe sunspots (dark spots) that reflect the intensity of the Sun's activity.

Photograph the Sun with Vespera
Visit Solar mode allows you to observe the Sun almost instantaneously thanks to the live display*. Capture photos at any time from the Observation tab of the Singularity mobile application.
Take several photos at different times of the day, week or month and compare them with each other. You'll be able to witness the evolution of the Sun's activity as sunspots appear and disappear. Sunspots can last from several days to several weeks.
Sunspot tracking
Singularity does not yet offer automatic video recording for solar/planetary observation. To create an animation, retrieve your photos in jpg format from Vespera's internal memory and compile them using photo/gif animation software.

Observe in complete safety
The filter is made from a metallized foil with an attenuating effect. It will reduce the luminous flux and enable you to observe the Sun in complete safety for your instrument. You'll be guided step-by-step through your journey by the Solar mode of the Singularity by Vaonis application, in order to guarantee the correct operation of the observation, your safety and that of your instrument.
