Designed for deep-sky astrophotography (galaxies, planetary nebulae) while remaining compact and lightweight, the
TS-Optics GSO 6″ Ritchey-Chrétien (154 mm, 1370 mm, f/9) offers uniform sharpness over a wide field,
stable focus and short cooling times thanks to its open tube.
Its hyperbolic mirrors in fused silica (quartz) with 94 % reflectivity treatment deliver
fine stars and sharp details, without lenses in the optical path.
The 6″ RC delivers fine, regular stars with cameras up to APS-C
(without corrector). For larger sensors (full format), the addition of a dedicated RC corrector is recommended.
to optimize field flatness and illumination. 94 % coating and no front glass
enable more effective exhibitions than with permanent blade/corrector systems.
The home is very affordable: about 159 mm from 2″ runner.
Visit M90 bushings (50 mm + 2×25 mm) are screwed between the focuser and the tube to position
your optical train (angle drive, OAG, filter wheel, camera). Visit Crayford 2″ dual-speed
ensures fine, backlash-free MAP.

Do I need a corrector? → Up to APS-C, many users shoot without corrector.
On full-frame, a dedicated RC corrector is highly recommended for an impeccable field.
Can it be used for visuals? → Yes. The RC is designed for photography, but visually it offers
very fine stars and enhanced contrast (especially with good eyepieces and a 2″ angled return). On the other hand, planetary photography really isn't its forte, due to its central obstruction.
Visit TS-Optics GSO 6″ RC Pro condenses the essence of professional RCs into a lightweight, affordable format.
