Visit Sky-Watcher Explorer-300PDS associated with the frame EQ6-R PRO SynScan™ is a top-of-the-range package dedicated to passionate astronomers and demanding astrophotographers. This complete configuration combines a large-diameter Newton optics with a ultra-precise motorized equatorial mount, offering exceptional performance for deep-sky observation and astronomical photography.
The telescope Newton 300 mm is based on the excellent optics of the Explorer-300P Black Diamond series, renowned for its outstanding image quality. However, it benefits from two major improvements: a 2″ Crayford eyepiece holder with 10:1 gear ratio for extremely fine focusing, and a slightly shortened tube to optimize focusing by astrophotography in the primary focus. This design allows greater compatibility with cameras and SLRs, making it easier to obtain sharp, detailed images.
Equipped with a 305 mm parabolic primary mirror and a focal length of 1500 mm (f/4.9), This telescope offers excellent brightness and a wide field of view, ideal for capturing nebulae, galaxies and star clusters. The use of a Sky-Watcher coma corrector (ref. 20233) is strongly recommended to further improve image quality, by correcting optical aberrations at the edges of the field.
The frame EQ6-R PRO SynScan™ represents a major evolution of the famous EQ6 PRO. It has been completely redesigned to meet the demands of modern astrophotography. It offers load capacity up to 20 kg, perfectly suited to this imposing optical tube and its accessories. Sound belt drive system considerably reduces backlash, guaranteeing trouble-free operation silent, fluid and precise, ideal for long exposure tracking and guidance.
The frame also incorporates a periodic error correction (PPEC), This eliminates the need for regular tracking recalibration. Polar height adjustment has been improved with an extended range of 5° à 65°, making it easy to use in different latitudes. A SNAP port allows direct control of a camera, simplifying automated shooting.
The system is controlled by the SynScan™ V5 snowshoe, a powerful GoTo command giving access to a database of more than 42,000 celestial objects. Thanks to its intuitive interface, you can automatically locate and track planets, stars, nebulae and galaxies. Sky tour functions are also available to discover visible objects in real time.
The sturdy tripod in 2-inch stainless steel ensures optimum stability, even under heavy loads. The package also includes 5 kg counterweighta counterweight bara polar viewfinder for precise alignment, as well as a self-steering port to further improve tracking accuracy in astrophotography.
Supplied with a 28 mm LET (2″) eyepiecea researcher 9×50 and a 1.25″ adapter, this set is ready to use for both visual observation and imaging. Please note that the power supply is not included.
