With a focal length of 1800 mm (f/12), This telescope is perfectly suited to high-magnification observations. It can reach a magnification of x64 with the eyepiece supplied, and can reach a theoretical maximum magnification of x450 under the right conditions. This level of performance makes it possible to accurately observe details of lunar craters, Saturn's rings, the phases of Venus or Jupiter's cloud bands.
The SKYMAX-150 is based on an optical design renowned for its exceptional image quality. Its closed system limits internal turbulence and effectively protects optics from dust. The primary and secondary mirrors are treated with Radiant™ Aluminum Quartz (RAQ™)guaranteeing reflectivity up to 94%. This treatment improves light transmission and ensures bright, high-contrast, sharp images.
The primary mirror displacement focusing system enables fine, gradual adjustment, essential for obtaining perfect sharpness when observing at high magnification.
The telescope is supplied with the EQ5 Pro SynScan™ Go-To equatorial mount, a motorized solution that makes skywatching a whole lot easier. Thanks to its control panel, you can automatically point at thousands of celestial objects without having to search for them manually.
Once aligned using the integrated polar viewfinder, the frame provides precise monitoring by compensating for the Earth's rotation. This feature keeps the object under observation centered in the field, considerably improving viewing comfort and opening the door to the’astrophotography.
Operating with a power supply 12V DC, This mount is ideal for use both in the field and at home. It offers an excellent compromise between performance, ease of use and upgradability.
The SKYMAX-150 is supplied with a 2” 28 mm eyepiece, to obtain an initial magnification of x64. Le 2” (50.8 mm) angled return ensures optimum viewing comfort, especially when the telescope is oriented towards the zenith.
