DSA tips for beautiful first lights

• On color CMOS, a 2″ duo-band filter on the M48 helps a lot in peri-urban areas.
• Set MAP to f/4.5 (faint stars visible), then close down one or two notches to tame the halos of very bright stars.
• Keep the optical train screwed down (avoid ring tightening) for optimum orthogonality and repeatability.
• Use 360° rotation to compose precisely around large objects (Heart/Soul, North America, summer Milky Way, etc.).
