The StarSense Explorer DX 5″ transforms your smartphone as interactive sky guide.
Even without any experience, you can explore planets, the Moon, star clusters and
nebulae in just a few minutes.
Thanks to patented StarSense, the telescope automatically analyzes the stars
above you and determines its position in real time. The application
StarSense Explorer (Powered by SkySafari™) generates a list of currently visible objects
from your location. You can observe many objects from the city, and even more under dark skies.
The frame alt-azimuth manual with slow movements on two axes
allows you to easily follow the arrows displayed on your smartphone.
When the circle turns green, the object is centered: all you have to do is look through the eyepiece!
The heart of this telescope is a 5” Schmidt-Cassegrain” (125 mm), a design
Versatile, high-performance, for bright, high-contrast images.
With its 1250 mm (f/10), it excels on the Moon, planets, star clusters and even
some bright nebulae and galaxies.
The optics are treated with the StarBright XLT, which maximizes light transmission
