L'Esprit-80EDX is based on an apochromatic triplet lens incorporating a central lens in Ohara FPL-53 japanese glasssynonymous with exemplary chromatic correction. This fast f/5 optical design is ideal for wide-field deep-sky photography, with a wide, bright field of view. Every air-to-glass surface is treated with the exclusive MHTC (Metallic High Transmission Coating), which enables 99.5 luminous transmittance %.
Visit Linear Power 2.8" CNC rack & pinion focuser is equipped with an 11:1 reduction, guaranteeing smooth, precise, backlash-free focusing. It can be rotated, and an additional rotary adapter on the output thread enables the camera's orientation to be perfectly fine-tuned. The CNC rocker with central handle ensures sturdy mounting, while the integrated Vixen dovetail simplifies installation.
With its 400 mm focal length, the Esprit-80EDX offers an optimal aperture/focal length ratio for mobile astrophotographers. Its weight of less than 4 kg and length of 42 cm make it easy to transport, without compromising on mechanical rigidity. A dedicated field corrector (ref. 20187, optional) is available for a perfectly flat field across the entire sensor.
