With its mirror 130 mm and its foldable format, the Skywatcher Heritage-130P is much more than just a tabletop telescope: it's a modern tribute to Isaac Newton's invention. This compact Dobson embodies the perfect balance between portability, performances and mechanical eleganceideal for ambitious beginners and enthusiasts in search of a celestial adventure companion.
The 130P's tube is decorated with a design celebrating iconic figures from the history of astronomy: Galileo, Messier, Kepler and Newton. Inside, it's a 130 mm borosilicate parabolic mirror coated with the exclusive RAQ™ (Radiant™ Aluminum Quartz) which captures light efficiently. It collects more than 300 % light than the human eye, revealing galaxies, nebulae, clusters and planets with astonishing clarity.
With a focal length of 650 mm (f/5 focal ratio), this telescope is particularly bright, ideal for deep-sky observation. Lunar details are striking, Saturn's rings sharp, and Jupiter's bands perfectly visible. Focusing is via a 1.25" helical focuser fluid and precise, suitable for most standard eyepieces.
The structure retractable of the tube retains its optical alignment (collimation) even after folding, making the 130P incredibly easy to transport. Its lightweight yet stable azimuth base rests on non-slip rubber pads that limit vibration, even when placed on a camping table. Teflon™ bearings ensure smooth, precise rotation. A locking knob lets you set the altitude for comfortable viewing.
