With the StarSense Explorer 6″, Celestron makes skywatching accessible to everyone.
You don't need to know the constellations or how to align a telescope:
your smartphone does all the work.
Simply place the telescope in position, and install your phone in the StarSense dock,
launch the application, choose a target... and follow the arrows on the screen.
Your smartphone's camera scans the sky in real time and tells you exactly how to aim the telescope.
When the reticle turns green, the object is centered: look through the eyepiece and enjoy!
The telescope uses Schmidt-Cassegrain 150 mm (6″),
ideal for high-contrast images of the Moon, planets and star clusters
and brilliant nebulae. With a focal length of 1500 mm, it provides
beautiful magnifications while remaining compact and easy to carry.
The StarSense system instantly opens up hundreds of celestial objects,
even if you're a first-time observer. From an urban sky, you'll already see most of the
bright targets. Under dark skies, you'll have access to fainter galaxies and nebulae.
