The telescope set BRESSER Messier MC-152/2250 associated EXOS-2 PMC-Eight GoTo mount is an extremely versatile solution for astronomical and solar observation. Designed for ambitious beginners and experienced observers alike, this set combines compact, high-performance Maksutov-Cassegrain optics with a modern, precise equatorial mount that is fully controllable via Wi-Fi.
Thanks to its 2250 mm long focal length and its 152 mm opening, This telescope excels in high-magnification planetary observation, while remaining capable of revealing many deep-sky objects. The GoTo mount, driven by the PMC-Eight Open GoTo, Its unique design ensures fast scoring, precise tracking and a high degree of customization freedom.
The Messier MC-152's Maksutov-Cassegrain optics feature a compact, robust design. Its short tube length of just 490 mm greatly facilitates transport and installation, while retaining a low weight. 2250 mm long focal length (F/14.8), ideal for high-magnification observations.
This telescope is particularly well suited to the detailed observation of planetsand double stars and planetary nebulae. It also lets you explore iconic deep-sky objects such as the Orion Nebula, the Whirlpool Galaxy and the Dumbbell Nebula. Sound 2.5″ Hexafoc eyepiece holder (65 mm) ensures excellent mechanical stability and precise focusing, even with heavy accessories.
A high quality lens filter included, This allows for totally secure solar observations: sunspots, eclipses and planetary transits. Warning: never point the telescope at the Sun without this filter.
The frame EXOS-2 PMC-Eight GoTo from Explore Scientific is a modern, robust and silent German equatorial mount. It is based on NEMA-11 micro stepper motors with high-precision belt drive, guaranteeing smooth, precise tracking for both visual observation and astrophotography.
The system Open GoTo PMC-8 integrates a powerful Wi-Fi control unit, featuring a multiprocessor microcontroller with 8 cores and an Ethernet/Wi-Fi 10/100 adapter. Control can be via web browser, mobile application, ASCOM or serial connection, offering maximum flexibility.
The application ExploreStars, specially developed for the PMC-Eight system, features a modern, visually appealing interface. Alignment stars and celestial objects are displayed as interactive graphic star chart, with detailed textual information.
Initializing the GoTo is as simple as pressing a intuitive alignment to 2 or 3 stars. Centering, guidance, corrections and movements can be performed via touchscreen, virtual joystick or directional controls.
The system Open GoTo allows advanced users to create, modify and load their own firmware into the PMC-8. It is thus possible to define customized object lists or adapt system behavior to specific needs. An ASCOM driver is available, which also supports the impulse control.
A illuminated polar finder included as standard and pre-mounted. It enables fast, precise set-up, essential for long, drift-free exposure times during astrophotography sessions. Integrated LED illumination enhances comfort of use, even in total darkness.
