ARCO 2" remotely controls the orientation of an astronomical camera and can perform field rotation on an altazimuth mount. The PrimaLuceLab rotator uses a dedicated connection to ESATTO or SESTO SENSO 2/3 for power and control.
On an equatorial mount, ARCO allows you to rotate the camera to frame the shot without manually adjusting the optical train. On an altazimuth mount, it can be used to compensate for field rotation during long exposures, without an equatorial table, as described by the manufacturer. The advertised resolution of 1 arcsecond per step refers to the control increment; it should not be confused with a guaranteed absolute pointing accuracy.
ARCO is not designed to be a standalone device. It must be connected to the dedicated port on an ESATTO or a SESTO SENSO 2/3 motor. This single connection eliminates the need to connect a separate USB cable and a 12-volt cable directly to the rotator. Control can then be performed from EAGLE, a Windows computer, or a Wi-Fi interface accessible via a phone or tablet, depending on the control equipment used.
Mechanical adapters should be selected based on the eyepiece holder. The manufacturer lists PL3600412 for ESATTO 2″, PL3600416 for ESATTO 3″, and PL3600423 for ESATTO 4″. With the SESTO SENSO 2/3, the optional PL3600413 coupler is suitable for a 2″ output; the PL3600424 adapter is designed for a male M48 thread. These interfaces are optional accessories; they are not included as standard with the rotator.
The M56x1 male output uses the ESATTO 2″ interface. It is compatible with M56 stop-ring adapters designed for T2, M48, and M54 camera connections or other compatible accessories. The 20 mm thickness refers to the ARCO body alone: the mounting interface and camera connectors may increase the overall footprint. The 50.9 mm clear opening is distinct from the thickness and the nominal 2″ size.
PLAY enables rotation control when used with compatible focusing equipment. An ASCOM driver also allows angle control using third-party software. The manufacturer confirms that the ARCO connection cable is included in the package. The cameras—ESATTO, SESTO SENSO—and optional adapters described in the examples must be purchased separately. The page does not specify a maximum load for this model.
