The AZ-GTi mount is equipped with a integrated WiFi module which creates its own network, allowing complete control via smartphone or tablet thanks to the free app SynScan (iOS and Android). No external connection is required: after entering your coordinates and performing a simple alignment, you can explore the sky via an intuitive, fluid interface.

The Go-To system provides access to a database of more than 10,000 celestial objects, The new, easy-to-access catalogs include the Messier, NGC, IC and Caldwell catalogs, as well as named stars, double stars and solar system objects. Advanced features such as “Tonight's Best Tour”, object identification and direct pointing enrich the user experience.

Optically, the Explorer-130PS is a telescope of the Newton equipped with a primary mirror 130 mm parabolic dish. With a focal length of 650 mm and a focal ratio of f/5, It offers an excellent balance between brightness and field of vision. It is perfectly suited to observing the Moonand planets, as well as deep-sky objects such as nebulae, galaxies and star cluster.

The primary and secondary mirrors are treated Radiant™ Aluminum Quartz (RAQ™), offering up to 94% reflectivity. This coating enhances image brightness and contrast while guaranteeing excellent durability. The telescope is supplied with two eyepieces of 10 mm and 20 mm, offering magnifications of x65 and x32.5, with a maximum potential of x260.

Visit red dot viewfinder facilitates initial pointing, particularly during alignment. Once this stage has been completed, the Go-To system takes over to automatically locate objects. Multiple travel speeds (up to 800x) for fast, precise positioning.

The AZ-GTi mount is compatible with the ASCOM for computer control, as well as planetarium applications such as SkySafari Plus/Pro. It also features an optional SynScan snowshoe port and a DSLR trigger port for photography.

The tripod in adjustable aluminum ensures excellent stability while remaining lightweight. Adjustable from 80.5 cm to 152 cm, It can be adapted to any observation situation. The unit weighs just 6.65 kg, which makes it easy to transport.

Power can be supplied via 8 AA batteries or an external source 7.5 to 14V. For optimum autonomy, the use of a Power Tank Sky-Watcher 17Ah is recommended.

Finally, the telescope is supplied with a universal smartphone adapter (compatible with cameras from 54 to 90 mm wide), for easy capture of images of the Moon and bright objects.
